Facebook and Instagram Users Report Meta Services Are Down

Facebook, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram experienced a widespread outage on Tuesday morning. Down Detector, a website tracking disruptions, recorded a surge in user reports of issues with the platforms. Around 350,000 reports for Facebook, over 53,000 for Instagram, and more than 8,800 for Facebook Messenger were filed during this time. Meta, the parent company, did not provide an immediate comment. Some users turned to alternative platforms to seek confirmation of the outage. Users were advised not to panic. The situation is still unfolding.
